Cityscape caught up with former Christchurch lad and renowned Nonn designer Cameron Foggo during a recent trip home.What brings you back to Christchurch? I’m here working on some exciting furniture prototypes. Although I have been based in Australia, where most of my furniture is now sold, I’m still loyal to my manufacturers in Christchurch who continue to make the vast majority of my products. It’s sometimes difficult having to ship product across the Tasman to a tight timetable; however, you really can’t beat the craftsmanship of Canterbury manufacturers. Nor can you beat the ease of dealing with manufacturers who you’ve been working with for two decades.How’s Christchurch looking? Every time I return home to Christchurch I really analyse what has changed. I think it’s now starting to get exciting to see the progress, the growth and people on the street generally being more upbeat. I appreciate that it’s still very hard...
