Cityscape puts the squeeze on Waipara Hills winemaker extraordinaire Simon McGeorge.   How did you become one of the country’s top winemakers?   I’ve been lucky enough to work with a range of inspiring winemakers around the world. Taking the reins at Waipara Hills has given me the opportunity to use fantastic fruit,  to make wines that I love.   The best thing about your job?   Every day I essentially get to play with flavours and aromatics in an attempt to make the best tasting drink I can come up with. It’s like a playground for people that are slightly obsessive about finding balance and perfection!    What’s one simple thing we could do to enjoy wine even more (if possible)?   Don’t over chill your white wines! A refreshing cold drink can be great on a hot day, but don’t be surprised when it doesn’t taste of anything more...

“Momma always said life was like a box of chocolates ...” but rich and full like a Chocolate Box Shiraz sounds better to me! This is classic Barossa Shiraz that may well enhance your life! Thick and full bodied with nice powdery, chalky tannins to finish. This is a star Shiraz. RRP $19.99...
